It is really nice to be able to play music on a touch screen device such as an iPhone or an iPod Touch, and even nicer when you have the lyrics stored in the song file so that you can sing along with the music. This small post will tell you how to add lyrics to your songs manually, so that they will show up on your screen the next time you play them on your iDevice. Please note, that you can also see lyrics on any iPod with a screen, not just the touch screen devices.

The Year We Make Contact in Uranus

The song we will be using for this example is quite possibly the greatest science fiction anthem ever written, entitled “The Year We Make Contact in Uranus” by electric violinist extraordinaire, Erich Meatleg. The song does not yet show up in popular lyrics sites so we will be adding the lyrics from a blog post by the artist.
