If you would like to have your Mac startup, wake, sleep, restart or shut down at a regular time each day, each weekday or on the weekends, there is a simple built in setting to accomplish this task.

First, open your System Preferences and click on the Energy Saver options.

Then locate the schedule button in the lower right part of the window.

From here you can choose the times and the days of the week to startup, wake, sleep, restart and shutdown.
